I've been using the same for over 35 years and everyone still loves it. Every once in a while I change it up a little.

You need about 3C sliced potatoes.
(if I'm in a hurry I use "Simply Potatoes sliced potatoes)
1 - 1 1/2 C diced ham
1 can of cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup.
I prefer to use evaporated milk in my recipe because it tastes richer but you can use whole milk.
1 lg sliced onion red or yellow.
Cheddar cheese or velveeta cheese.( you can either sprinkle sheese on top the dish about 15 min before removing from the oven or alternate into the layers or you can totally leave it out)

Preheat oven to 375.
Spray a 9 X 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Layer potatoes, diced ham & onions alternately in the baking dish.
Put the soup in a pot and add 1 can milk. Heat until they are well combined.
Pour heated mixture over the potatoes & onions and ham.

bake for appx 1 - 1 1/2 hr until tender.
