Yes, you can still sell your car. They don't attach anything to the car for tickets. It goes against your drivers license. If you didn't go to court or whatever, they would be looking for you, not your car. The only thing you would want to keep your car for, is if you are fighting the loud exhaust part of it. The judge may ask to hear the loudness of it. Good luck in court. ps........If your insurance just ran out recently, take proof of that with you. don't be afraid to ask for a reduced fine or even forgiveness, if this is your first time getting a ticket.

repoman77 is absolutely right the ticket and selling your car are totally unrelated in any way. He is also right when he said take the proof of sale to court that the more then likely will cut you a deal.
