The clothing is in good condition and of good designers I get upset knowing that when some clothing is "donated" it is actually sold to the public. I want to know that the clothing I am donating from my grandparents is going to men and women who are in great need of clothing.

Try giving it to a church that organizes clothing giveaways. They don't sell it if it's specifically called a "clothing giveaway."

In meaning charities, are you wanting a donation slip so you can claim tax-wise? If not, you can always list your donation on the freecyle website for your area. There are people there who really are needy all the time. Also, I personally give a lot to our local gospel mission too...just a thought =)

With your sincere wish, the only place I know would be St. Vincent's de Paul, in Iowa. If you tell them your special request, they will honor that. Check to see where other St. Vincents are. OR you could take them to a Nursing Home. They accept good clothes for the ones who can not or do not purchase clothes.

Contact any church in your community to determine if they distribute clothing, without charge, to those in need of clothing. Many churches have community and world-wide contacts where clothing is made available without charge.

Some public schools accept clothing for distrubition to students and families without charge. Get in touch with administrators at your local schools.

Contact homeless shelters in your area for possible recipients of clothing you no longer need or want.

I would try calling local homeless shelters to see if they could use the clothes. Easter Seals also will take donations, and i dont think that they are sold.

I would give it to your church, most of the time they give the clothing away instead of making ppl pay for it.

Most places will not pick up to be dropped off for charity. It is picked up to be resold for charity. You will have to drop it off yourself unless you pay someone to do it.
