I believe that their two types of atheists from where I have been seeing for the past 6 months on here. Strong atheists are moral people who minds are set on their surroundings. They don't infringe their beliefs on anyone because they are steadfast and unshakable about God's non-existence and their have question religion and satisfy with what they have founded. They respect all beliefs and faiths and will not focus their atheistic propaganda or proselytize towards believers or any one else. Their motto is "Live and let live." These are the most loving and liberal people in this world. Now the weak atheists are the opposite. They want to focus their atheistic beliefs on believers such as evolution, stem cell research and homosexuality. They lack morality, respect for all faiths and they ask questions on here to mock, ridicule and to bait believers. They cannot ask or answer a question without insulting a person or their beliefs. They reside in this section 24/7 bashing religion and its followers. These people lead sad lives. As a former atheist of over 15 years, I would not have enter a website for religious people because at that time I was very strong and unwavering. I married an atheist. We both sought God together and we were serious in our search. God show himself strong in our lives and we are now believers and we won't turn back to that sad lifestyle. God bless.

They are more like religious folks, as moral than religious folks. But they are not leading sad lives as religious folks. Would marry one, no but I would not marry a religious folk either. What are you thinking good people are just, bad people are just mad.

I kinda think when the chips are down there are really no true atheists. I think they start praying just like everyone else. I am married to a man that believes in a higher power , not necessarily God. He is a wonderful man so not believing has nothing to do with how good of person you are. He came from a horrid background where there was horrific child abuse by his mother and step dad and yet he says they were in church every Sunday. Soooo, you can understand the confusion in his mind about what church is suppose to represent.

I'd have to meet them before I made my judgment. The atheists that I do know are pretty much the same as me. Moral? It depends on the person. You have immoral religious folk just like you have immoral atheist and every other religion out there. No I don't think they are living sad lives but hey like I said before it would depend on the person.

Me thinks you suppose an excessive amount of. Faith with is most important to perception in Christianity or God and for that subject any philosophy adding Apathetic Agnosticism. My opinion on Atheists is they're very conflicted and would possibly spend extra time considering God than Christians. I am a Christian that believes Christ gave the impression in lots of varieties now not simply the Biblical view. His(Christ's revelations) are determined in each and every fundamental and minor faith.Christ stated that those who adopted His phrases have been stored.I'm additionally aspect Cherokee so I see no change praying to the Great Spirit, the Creator than to the Christian, Hebrew Muslim God.

We atheists are nothing like what the church leaders are fond of charicaturing us as. We are freethinking individuals who are able to see the Big Picture without the blinders of religion. We do not live in despair, quite the contrary; freethought is incredibly refreshing, liberating, and empowering. We are not nihilists, but lovers of life who see it as all the more precious because there's no eternal afterlife. We do not need the bribe of heaven or the threat of hell to be good people, we believe in being good for its own sake. Through science and reason, we know more about the true nature of the world we live in than your religion could ever hope to offer.
The fear of death is a natural thing, which is why you need to think hard about living your life for the moment. We are not the enemy of christians and other theists.

I think Atheists are people that have gone the other way on the God question. I hope they have thought about and gathered enough facts for their belief. If they have done all that then I don't have a problem with them. I think that they are just as moral as anyone else is. However, I would not marry one because I think its important to share the important things with your spouse. For me, my religion and faith is the most important thing.

I have opinions of individual atheists, but I don't seem this group possessing a collective identity since there are many different types of people who declare themselves atheist. As for their lives, I have met some angry atheists (an old college professor & his friends), but I don't find them to be more or less depressed than the rest of the population.
My ex turned from Baptist to agnostic to atheist during our marriage. He became a Catholic after our divorce because it mattered to his new wife and "he didn't care who did his funeral." I figure once things are safe, he will be an atheist again since I believe that is really what he wanted to be when he grew up.

If you look at statistics on convicts you will find that atheists are vastly outnumbered by religious folks in relation to their percentage/population. So i guess it is perfectly all right to steal and kill thy neighbor, after all is said and done you will be forgiven. And if all else fails, call the pope and buy indulgence, He is the great know-it-all if he can muster up time in between raping choirboys. Come on, if you can not forget the god business then at least bring down the churches. Even Jesus would be appalled to look at them.

Jesus, is it atheist night tonight or what?
They're more or less normal people. In the UK, religion doesn't have much of a hold on anyone so there are a helluva lot of atheists and agnostics (and non-practicing religious types).
I think if you say that atheists lead sad lives then you're saying that the majority of the UK are leading sad lives. Which couldn't be further from the truth.
