Paganism is anything outside of Abrahamic religion; this is any religion that is rooted in Semitic tradition so largely religion that are monotheistic [one single god] such as Christianity or Judaism, so Paganism is an 'umbrella term' to cover a lot of religions.

When people talk about Paganism they tend to mean Neo-Paganism, and those within Paganism are either pantheist or polytheistic in their beliefs, usually following pre-Christian gods. Pantheism meaning the belief in a single god present in all, polytheism meaning the belief in many gods. There are a lot of Neo-Pagan religions such as Wicca, Asatru, and Druid – although some may refer to themselves differently, for example Asatru may prefer to be known as Heathens rather than Pagans.

Wicca is a Pagan religion in that it follows a 'hard-polytheistic' belief system, meaning they believe in their own god and goddess, believing those gods are individual beings, rather than 'soft-polytheists' who believe different gods are like different aspects or personalities of a single god.

Wicca is a priesthood; it is oath-bound and initiate-only meaning only those who are initiated into a BTW coven [coven with a direct line back to Wicca's founder Gerald Gardner] are Wicca so they are the only ones taught about the fundamentals of Wicca. As such it is a small religious grouping so could be described as a cult, but most people think of it as a religion, or more precisely as it is a religion without laity [only has clergy] a priesthood within Paganism.

Wicca are witches, their primary practice is that of witchcraft so all practicing Wicca are considered witches, some Pagans are also witches. Witchcraft is a practice of lower magics or indigenous magics, it is a practice followed by all sorts of religions such as Pagans, Christians and Satanists, the only religion to my knowledge that forbids the use of witchcraft is Islam, and witchcraft is also used by Atheists and Agnostics.

Wicca and witches have as much power as anyone else; the difference is that when someone is a witch they study and practice for a very long time to learn how to use their will to manipulate energy and power around them, often also including prayer, mentalism, practices such as herb lore (using herbs for their magical/healing properties), divination or other magical or new age practices, depending on what sort of witch you are talking to.

Wicca is a pagan religion. No they don't have any more power than Christians, Muslims or Jews have.

Btw: yes, Wiccans were called witches during their persecution (and executions) during the dark ages.

powers? only if you believe their spells count more than your prayers. they're of the same essence, when you boil things down.

Wicca is a religion drawing its roots from old pagan traditions; some Wiccans use the term "witch" to connect with those times.

yes, pagan religions vary. you'll need to look up each one individually. people only have powers over you if you allow it. although there were a lot of instances in the bible of demons and devils killing, possessing and tormenting people. But as long as you live a good, healthy life devoted to God, you wil be ok ! Did you know that in the bible, the book of the Bible is referred to as a sword ? - a knowledge of this is the best defense, I think.
Hope that helps.

Wicca is a kind of white magic, and I guess they can cast spells of some kind, usually from nature, I think. Pagan I don't think is witch, but I think is more evil.
