I know where you're trying to go with this, but the semantics won't fly in the face of fact.
The calendar as we know it today, utilizing the abbreviations of BC and AD, wasn't developed until the 6th century, and wasn't adopted on any widespread level until midway thru the 9th. The numbering system that's employed contaings a glaring math error, with the BC era ending in 6 BC. The term AD was only added by the church in an attempt to give validity to the claim that Christ fulfilled Hebrew prophecy, and a new world began with his birth.
Nice try...

The accepted and generally recognized answer would be 2006 of the Common Era. In the Hebrew calander this is the year 5767. The reorganization of the Calander by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 was a attmept to unfairly impose Christian values and ideas on the rest of the world.

To Christian...... since Jesus was born in Spring in the Middle East, why do you celebrate his birthday on an old German Harvest Festival? Culture evolves to accept certain things, dear.

the date doesnt matter, if u want to base it off a religious date then thats fine, but the fact is that even if i believe that its january 16th 5001 i still dont believe in god. no one can know the real date, we dont know the day when things began. the date is just a number, a name. if believing that today is tuesday october 31st means i accept god then forget it, i'll make my own calendar.

The year is 5654 (give or take a few) according to the Jews... Whats your point? that Western cultures use BCE?? That proves WHAT?

2006, based upon the calendar in common use.
a calendar devised by the church around 500 C.E., by the way, arbitrarily retroactively applied to a guestimate of JC'e birth.
just because one uses a common-use calendar doesn't mean anything, Einstein.
