i dated this guy for 3 years i did anything and everything for him but he was a control freak i wasnt allowed to do anything he has a really bad temper but i know he loves me i cant be without him but my family does not support us we broke up but i still loev him and someday i want to marry him i know i will but they refuse to have anything to do with us, i dont know whether to just give it up or stay with him i know we dont have a healthy relationship but i know we love eachother have you guys been in this situation what should i do

I don't know what your family is like, but if it were mine, the only reason they would dislike someone I said I loved would be if he wasn't treating me right. Your family loves you enough to know you deserve better. If you marry someone in a situation like this, you will one day wake up and become a statistic--a divorce statistic. Go to one of the dating sites, look at all the people out there who are looking for love. Any one of them might be a true companion to you, not someone who will take advantage of his ability to "rule over you". It is disrespectful to yourself to stay with someone who doesn't treat you right. Love yourself enough to take a step in the right direction and find someone who will love you the way you deserve. Right now you feel in love because this relationship is all you've known for so long and it's going to be hard to leave it, but the best cure for a broken heart is to get right back out there and meet new people. Take it slow, date a few people and find out what qualities are really important for you to find in a future mate. I bet you'll find someone who is a perfect match if you just have the courage to look a little! And have fun!!!!

Just think If I gave you crack, even though you know it may kill you and tear your life apart why would you take it. You are trippin,
ALL LOVE ISN'T GOOD LOVE!! You need to love yourself first and foremost and that's the only way someone else will be able to truly love you. Its hard for the Ike Turners of the world to change, and its been 3 years of this. If you think you can love this man through this y'all both need to get professional help before u2 can go on, if not I see allot of black eyes in your future

you had a lot of negative things to say about this relationship,how can anything good come from something negative,it is your life,in the end you have to live it weather your parents dislike him so,i do not think that they will exclude you from their lives if you do marry him however i doubt that they will ever accept him either.

give up, y would u want t o stay w/someone who is a control freak. that can lead to other serious risk, such as domestic violence. think bout that, and be smarter.
