I just need to ask a question. I'm a black female and just began my new job. A white guy came on to me pretty strong by asking me plenty of questions. Where I live? Days I work? What my hours? Can I come to visit you? And the final question, Can I have your #?. This is the first time that I've been approached by a white guy. Actually, I was scared because of all the question I found it pretty weird. Honestly, I was scared. I didn't want him to stalk me. I didn't give him the time of day because I didn't want him to think because I'm a black woman he was going to get sex from me. That rumor really need to stop. Is this how white guys flirt? Or did he think he was going to get sex from me? Just wandering

1 question I'm young and a brat? smh. If you only knew. 2 question If he was black Yes I would've asked the same question. I've asked friend and family whenever I had a crush on a black and/or white guy what would they do. I'm on here to get answers. Please stop with the insults. that's what this site is for is to ask questions. 'so rude and ignorant. 'to everyone else thank you for the advice. though it's been 9 years ago, I have experience dating a white guy and found out its all the same.

if he is pretty obsessed?(did i used the right term) not maybe.. well anyways, dont push him away, neither let him grabbed to much opportunities from you. you seem to have low confidence that you tend to feel scared because you feel that white guys wont get serious to a black one. race is not the issue here whether you're black and his white. just approach him in a nice way but dont ever let him feel to much free on you. show him the authority and that whether you're black, he shouldn't be much strong in approaching you. anyway, dont feel so much scared bout it after all, he seems not doing any offense yet?!
good luck..

I think everyone flirts differently. I had a gorgeous black guy ask me out, and he was very forward too...... race doesn't matter, HE just wanted to get in my pants too! ;) sometimes men are pigs! and sometimes they're pretty sweet...it's not about skin color. :)
Tell him you are or are not interested....and careful with the personal information...he could be a creep, then you have to figure out how to get rid of him. Stalking sucks, so don't set yourself up for that. If you're on the job, just be polite, and say "no thanks"...if it becomes an issue, ask the boss how you should best handle it. My co-workers and boss had to help me with a stalker (and still do, if need be...)

Maybe he does like you and wants to date you but he came on a little to strong. But I will refrain from giving him my personal information yet. Not all white guys flirt that way, that is just a stereotype and not all think black women are easy to get in bed. Do what you feel is right and good luck and have fun.

Stereotypes are not a bad thing as everyone thinks, they are for the most part true, and usually funny if used right (Dave Chappelle, Carlos Mencia). Why a white guy tried to flirt with you? Well this world has become so liberal now that there are all kinds of diff. interracial rel. going on. I mean everyone is mixed, but the mixes keep getting more diff. Im German, Italian, Native American.....but dont get me wrong im American, my fam has been here for a LONG time and we have been "Americanized" so to speak so now im just "caucasion". In saying that, I am mixed, but I have not and do not ever expect to date outside of my race. Not for any particular reason just a choice. But alot of white guys (some of my friends) are attracted to black girls and (this is where I think its wrong) not for relationships but just for some "fun". So you call it a stereotype, but thats proof right there its true. You see alot of white women dating black guys just b/c its not exactly "socially acceptable" and ppl still shun them for it, just out of rebellion. I personally think that ppl are WAY too different in general and things are just easier if you stay within ur own race (friends, bf/gf, etc.).

Dude, you have to chill. He flirted with you. He obviously did a bad job. Let it go. The fact that he's white and you're black has nothing to do with it.

It might be either one. Its sad how bad these stereotypes are. in your case, i would politely ask him to back off and not give him any information. I know how white guys flirt, and its usually nver that strong.

I am a black woman... and that is just how white men are... give him a try... you get his number. call him from a blocked number (dial *67) to avoid the chance of him stocking you... and see what he is talking about... if he talks about you then that's where his mind is at. but if he like when can he come over... and stuff just be glad you called him from a blocked number... good luck.
PS. White men are nothing like a black man. they will actually worship a black woman.

Not all white guys approach girls the same way. Some flirt boldly and some are subtle.

Did you consider that maybe he was interested in you?
Having dated a good many black women I must say that I find them very attractive although not as easliy approachable as other women. Give him the benefit of the doubt, he may have just thought you were attractive and has no regard for race when it comes to relationships.
