The best thing to do it to seek professional help. It happened to me before, but until I went to a specialis nothing really helped - it was gone and back again. It sounds like you have anxiety.

You can try and tell yourelf that the world will be there tomorrow, as soon as you wake up. Allow yourself to relax. It really is OK to sleep.

Yes, I've been there.

Two suggestions:

1) Try not to do anything stressful or stimulating (like schoolwork) an hour before bed.

2) Try this simple breathing exercise before sleep. I do it while lying in bed. With your eyes open, inhale slowly through your nose. With your eyes closed, exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat until you fall asleep.

Don't use meds if you can avoid it, and since it sounds like this is caused by school-related anxiety, I don't think you need them.

Good luck.

You are experiencing anxiety attacks on a low grade level. Something in your school life is subconsciously bothering you. You may feel pressured to succeed. You interrupted sleep pattern is a symptom. See a good counselor and start to talk about it. I guarantee that you will soon sleep better.

You need to learn how to relax so that sleep comes to you. Read a book when you go to bed, this could help you. You must love school days and are over excited about going?

it sounds very much like anxiety and boarder line panic attacks. Your stress levels will prevent younfrom sleeping and in somecase give you nightmares.

It happens to me a lot. Go to your doctor and discuss it with them, see what they think, they may be able to help you get your sleeping pattern fixed again.

Please do NOT listen to the person who said your problem was stupid/dumb. They clearly have no concept of the problem at hand.

I have dealt with this before. My doctor diagnosed me with anxiety. I suggest that you go to your doctor, tell him/her what you're dealing with, and see if they can't prescribe you some medicine such as Paxil, Zoloft, or Lexapro. Taking these right before you go to bed at night can help you relax and get a good night's sleep. Paxil CR worked best for me. Good luck!
