There are different denominations in Christianity...

Example: Baptist, Nazarene, Methodist, Lutheran...etc.

We, in the non-denominational Church are a spirit filled, Holy Bible, believe in the gifts of the spirit, etc. ((I'm not saying that the ones mentioned above aren't the same...we just don't have a denomination.)

BTW, the only people getting into Heaven are the born again Christians...you know, people with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Their denominations will be unknown... :o)

Well, technically it means that it's not a member of any denomination. It's gotten so big though that if you really think about it non-denominational has pretty much gotten to be it's own denomination, which is a bit of an oxymoron.

I attend a nondenominational church and what it means is we are not Presbyterian, or Methodist, or Baptist, etc. Nothing against those denominations, we just are not any of those. We teach from the bible, day after day, Genesis to Revelation, and then start all over again.

It just means the church isn't affiliated with a denomination, that's all.

In theory, churches trying to restore New Testament Christianity. They want to restore the church to the form it had in the first century before all the false teaching was added by catholics and others.

MANY churches CLAIM to be non-denominational, but in fact are simply un-affiliated denominational churches. The message must be that of the New Testament without human changes.

This restoration is a process. As we learn to understand scripture better, we are able to more closely recreate the original church in our time and culture.

Its a church that doesn't have any denomination telling them what to do, or take offerings or tithes from. They are usually heavy into the word and pretty much take the bible literally.

non-denominational usually refers to a Christian congregation that is not affiliated with a larger subset of the faith (like the Episcopalian or Methodist churches). However, it typically follows some form of Protestant doctrine, while other Christian traditions (Catholic or Orthodox) may be excluded (often, but not always).
