Ok my boyfriend he would be sitting on the couch with me and we would be watching a movie and he would just sit there and stare at me and i would ask him what he is thinking and he would pulse and say nothing but you totally know he is thinking about something!!!

I think that is caused by the dumbing effect of modern society to our younger generation. See kids spend more and more time playing video games, in front of the computer, etc.. All of this interaction does nothing for their social skills. I would suggest try doing things that are stimulating, at least for a conversation. Watching a movie is ok, only if you can talk about it afterwards, try playing games, etc... anything that requires using verbal expression. Some kids are plain shy... and they really shy in front of girls... might not be the same when he is with his buddies. Find the things that interest him and talk about them... good luck.

Maybe instead of asking him what he's thinking, ask him specific questions, something about the movie perhaps, or what he did all day, because trust me, sometimes guys are either just NOT thinking about anything or just thinking about sex. Haha.

Don't ask him what he's thinking.Start a conversation with him about the movie.That might open him up for talking about other things.It is a process to get some guys to talk at all.I think little by little he will open up to you.

It sounds like maybe you both do not have much in common.
Find out what he likes to do and talk about it.

he may feel that it isn't necessary for him to talk about anything as he may feel its fine as is...... I also wouldn't expect him to say anything in response to the question "what are you thinking about?" anyway if he doesn't talk much to begin with...

not only for this incident but it's worth while finding out what's in his head if you want to continue on this relationship. it's not healthy the way it is.
