Is the force, or god or whatever you call it, is this force that creates life also the force that causes death?

Energy is eternal and life is energy. But, life is subject to birth and death like everything else. Death does not mean non-existence though; it means transition from one place to the next.

No. God is the source of Life. Disconnecting from Life creates death.

I think it is in the Hindu religion. It's been a while since Comparative Theology, but I think Kali is supposed to represent both creation and destruction. But don't quote me.

When something is created, it holds inside the seeds of it's own destruction.

This was deliberately done when we left the mother ship, in order to ensure we didn't overpopulate.
