Set up an online account to monitor it's use. It should be consistant. Any weekend charges have to be explained.

Also, are they using it for business that they also have to submit expense reports for? Compare where they said they went to what they charged.

Another is to have them turn in their milage Monday morning and Friday afternoon. That way you know if they are actually travelling as much as they say. And if they falsify one week, the numbers will eventually catch up with them. If you question it, go out and view the oddometer yourself.

Once you start questioning and investigating, the abuse should stop as they know you are looking. Just don't explain specifically what you are looking at as they will find a way around it.

Just be sure to check your local laws to be sure your not infringing upon any.

Good luck.

You can allow yourself to have the credit card and give your drivers a gift card or debit card for a certain amount. That would force them to stay within the amount and not go over.
