Be a contract killer. Pay is just ok in the start but once you make a name for yourself you can make some good money killing people. Or better yet, catch Bin Laden. He's got a HUGE bounty on his head.

As for gambling addiction, you're screwed without serious help. There was a rather cruel experiment involving a pidgeon and a special feeder. Every time a pidgeon pecked a button, food or water would come out.
Then the behavioral scientists modified the machines so they only dispensed food some of the time. The pidgeons pecked even more than before. The scientists gradually turned down the probability of a reward even more, and the pidgeons kept at it.
Eventually, the scientists decided to see what would happen if they turned the machines off or set the probability so low that the pidgeon needed to use more energy pecking than it would get out of the machine on average. Evil scientists, no?
Well, the pidgeons kept at it furiously even when the machines were completely off! They just spent all their time trying to get food out of the machine. The scientists saw that their point was proven, so they put food bowls in the cages. Unfortunately, the pidgeons were so intent on the button, on the possibility of all the food they would need flowing out on the next peck, that they didn't turn around and didn't see the food bowl. Perhaps they did see it eventually, when they fell over from exhaustion and starvation and were too weak to reach it. Animal testing should be illegal, no?
However, the pidgeons could be saved by moving them to a different cage without a machine...
My advice is to fly away somewhere new, with open fields and cows and no flashy gambling dens or websites around. Work as a farmhand or road building or construction or whatever. Hard physical work cures depression, for reasons that are not fully understood. You will probably also want a new name and minimal contact with old friends (excluding ones you trust never to tell) and bank accounts. Try to pay up anyway, but if you truly can't keep this advice in mind.

Gambling is a mug's game. Gamblers never win. They do now and again to keep their interest but generally they lose. Over and over again. My advice : Never, ever gamble.
