The only trains in Saudi Arabia run between Riyadh and Dammam, so thats out of the question.

I think there is a road link as mentioned above.

Mutawwas wont bother you if any women with you are covered are are your relatives.

Riyadh would be safe, I guess, but Jeddah is better. Theres much more to see.

1- Motawaa are not much dangers creatures, don't be scared… they are very good and polite people if you respected the rules and regulation of Saudi Arabia…
2- Riyadh is very safe place… trust me…
3- There is no train between Amman and Riyadh…
But you can come by car or bus… it is approximately 1650 Kilometer through a very boring desert…. roads are not much bad….
But I think it will be better to come by airplane… two hours only…
You are Welcome to Riyadh

There is no trains between them, it is a long drive and I want to warn you to be very careful, the streets are full of trucks , you need to be fully alert cause some people are reckless drivers on the way.
And the mutawwas are not so many these days, there is no way to avoid them it is a matter of luck.

SORRY, there is no train route between, Amman & Riyadh.
You have to cross it by car.
through Qurayyat city (KSA).
Riyadh is geographically in the middle of Saudi, so you have to deive a lot.

If you drive the boarder can take a long, long time and it could be very hot with not much to do but sit and wait while they totally take apart your car. They take out the seats, door panels and everything inbetween. You really should fly. On a bus you can sit for hours waiting for others to clear immigration and customs, it could be exhausting. I can't believe you actually got a visa!
