Everyone is different. A one-size fits-all approach to the true meaning of life is absurd. As the master of your own destiny you have free will. Even if your belief system is religion-based, free will is still an integral part of that belief - the basis of good and evil deeds. Therefore, no matter what your belief system, it's what you do with you life that determines its ultimate meaning. There are many roads that can be taken in determining your life's course and its meaning. LIVE, LEARN, LOVE.LAUGH!

To live long enough to raise viable offspring. In the modern world, there are a thousand things a kid has to know to be successful- topping the list: how to LEARN.
So your job becomes continuing to learn for your entire life and making that time as long as possible and learning how to pass what you have learned to others.
Life is the gathering, storage, transformation and use of energy and the directing of those processes. Much of human energy is mental, but also physical and emotional.
Go from there.

Your life has its own unique destination and purpose. not the meaning of "life itself" but your life in reference you, or someone else's life. So the question should be what is the meaning of one's life?not life itself bc we are all connected in a way too complicated to be defined by one simple answer for each one of our lives.

The meaning is JESUS CHRIST. We are here for the LORD, He made us and he made us FOR HIM. We are here to worship God- to live for Him. Many dont- and many wont- but those that do- they understand what the meaning of life truly is- Salvation through JESUS CHRIST! There is only one way to heaven and this life is passing.....Jesus says " I am the only way, truth and life, no one comes to the Father but through Me" -John 14:6
I live for the Lord- he has saved me from my sin and from Hell and has not only given me eternal life with Him, but has given me JOY and PEACE and keeps me on the right path- he never forsakes me- and He is a shield about me. He forgives me when I sin and convicts me when I do sin- and he has forgiven me past, present and future. Praise be to HIM!
John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."
John 5:24
"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

Life is a temporary assignment.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
It takes faith to live on earth as a foreigner.
