depends on what type of paint. If it's oil paint, a very small amount of turpentine will loosen it... but that's smelly.
Best bet is scissors or an X-acto knife.

If it has already dried you won't totally get it out...take a knife and slowly scrape over the paint...remove as much as you can...that is about it unless you want to cut out the fibers that have paint on them....won't look so good....sorry...

Resolve works really well. It romoves stains like magic! I once had permanent marker on my carpet, a few minutes of scrubbing w/resolve and it was out in a jiff! lol

try greased lightening, it will take old paint off walls, just spray it on and let it sit for a bit then try scrubbing it and then repeat. hope it works, and good luck! it also will take paint and grease out of clothing.
