How??

They have what we call in the trade as 'stinking-thinking'....

They say.........GOD excepts all.

But! in the Bible it tells clearly GOD doesn't except men to sleep with men.Or even to be gay.

They are men who have changed what God really does say, and use tolerance as a key factor! in their thinking.

But...we know from the Bible....God has not made tolerance, an excuse for what HE see's as wrong .

It's not a "lifestyle," it's the way a person is born. Your question is like asking how red-haired preachers justify their "lifestyle."

Bigotry and discrimination are evil - how do you justify being a bigot to your god.

It's called DENIAL. Anyone with a worldly vice who doesn't want to give it up (smoking, drinking, porn...) can find ways to edit and twist the Bible into telling them that it's all okay. Do I believe it's possible that homosexuals are "born that way"? Yes, I believe that it's totally plausible that they are born with these feelings but God gave us free will for a reason. We use it to choose to sin or not to sin.

How do you? You just pick out some little bit of the Bible and say, "Good! I'm cool with that and I'm going to heaven!", like everyone else does.

I'm wondering how a Christian can justify criticizing anyone?

The same way black pastors did 150 years ago when American Christians used the Bible to justify slavery.

They cuddle up to god and read the bits in the bible about not eating shellfish and how you can't talk to menstruating women for a week ... and laugh...and laugh at people who ignore THOSE bits of the bible and pay attention to the .03% that talks about homosexuality :)

They usually (but not always) serve in more liberal churches that aren't Fundamentalist in nature. These churches focus more on the actual words of Christ than the words of Paul, and note that Christ isn't recorded as actually saying anything against homosexuality.

They probrably don't feel convicted yet, so I have no idea. Maybe God is still working onthem, just like He works on ministers who cheat on their wives, steal from the congregation and covet....

They don't have to. They realize that God doesn't condemn them. Throwing Leviticus around no longer works. That was written for Levites, and those laws have been fulfilled.

Well, Jesus said there was no male and female to God, so why should we pay attention to male and female on Earth?
