I've just bought a new house and have been looking at sofa suites for the living room. I've seen one I like but I've never done this before and I'm paranoid that it won't fit through the door. Can anyone do the maths for me and let me know if it will fit? The door is about 73cm by 190cm and the sofa is 196cm long, 92cm deep and 90cm high.

hope this helps . remove the cushions and tip over on front most sofas have screwed on legs . unscrew legs and that will give you alot more clerance .here's another tip .use a straight edge and lay it on the front of top and on the front part of the edge of seat . measure from the straight edge to the back corner. this will give you how much space you need to get thru the door. I hope you can under stand what I'm trying to tell you. I have no idea what a 73cm or 90cm is

If your house was built by the Internation codes the main door is 36 inches or whatever in cm...this is a industry standard...Manufatures of anything nows the industry standards and usually build thier product to fit though...Plus you might have to take the door off the hinges.....but there is a way that it will go though your front door....Here is an idea that you might consider....Pay to have it delevered...then it becomes there problem and are lieable for any damage....

Its not the door width that counts, its the actual opening that matter (measure the width between the door stops). Based on the above, NO, it won't fit through the door opening.

Get it delivered - then you won't be responsible if it gets broken. For heaven's sake, don't try to take it home yourself. The delivery guys can muscle anything into any living room, so get what you want.
