Flu shots are made from a strain of flu most common from the year before. They basically take the virus and turm it into a accine the same way they do polio, hepetitis and chicken pox vacines.
Only rather than making you imune from all Flu viruses it makes you imune from that particular strain. Also the flu is not te same as a cold, or what we call the stomach flu. So if you get the shot you can still get a cold or a stomach infection. Common mistake is people think that they will not get sick at all or that it doesn't work when they do get a cold.
By getting it every year you decrease your chances of getting infrcted by the FLu how ever we all know that there is many different types of flu viruses and the vaccine cannot protect against them all.

No.
A flu shot actually gives your body a very small dose of real flu and your body's defense (Immune) system starts fighting the flu bug and tends to make you immune from catching the real thing, by building up resistance to the bug.

Now why would you believe something like that? No, the flu shot injects a half dead virus into your body so that it can learn to fight that strain of the flu. After you get a flu shot, if that particular strain of the virus enters your body, your body will kill it immediatly so you won't get sick.

It is true initially bc your body is preparing to fight off the real flu, so your body might feel sick in the beginning just to trigger your mind set.

The virus in the flu shot is dead, too, so no. I swear I get sick half the time I get one, but most of my friends work in the medical community and they assure me it's just a fluke.

NO A FLU SHOT GIVES YOU A TOUCH OF THE FLU TO HELP YOUR BODY'S IMMUNE SYSTEM BUILD A RESISTANCE AGAINST THE FLU SO YOU ARE LESS LIKELY TO CATCH IT
