Rub some baking soda into his coat down to the skin. Let set for a few hours then brush out. I would do this outdoors.

A good bath using dawn dish detergent. Wash once a week if you can. Then try if buying pet deoderier at walmart. its like 3 dollars and you just spray your dog down when he smells bad. a dog usually will not smell if he is healthy. You should go to the vet. You also may need to change his food. A bad diet will cause a dog to smell. if you feed a cheap brand of dog food then you may need to consider buying a premium brand for just a few dollars more. it will be worth it in the end when your pet lives be older and still healthy.

Why on Earth does your dog smell so bad? Is he soiling himself? He needs a good bath and probably a trip to the vet.

First, you need to give him a good bath (with dog shampoo), then you can buy a bottle of doggie cologne and spray it on his coat while you brush him for in between baths, this should help.

Do not try an "at home" process. This is something for a qualified Vet. He knows what is safe and effective. Your dog depends on you for good ,loving judgement. Please be deserving of his trust, as I am sure you love him and want only what is best ( SAFE ) for him.

wash him with dog shampoo, household items may damage his skin.

if he still smells bad it could possibly be tooth decay. take him to the vet for a tooth cleaning.

maybe his ears need cleaning with a dog wash. again consult your vet.

maybe his anal glands need expressing, again consult your vet.
