So my $20,000 pot rack is now hanging up and needs some pots and pans hanging on it that aren't 17 years old (has it really been that long since we got those wedding gifts?). What should I be looking for in new cookware and what is the best value for a quality product.

People, get the joke - the pot rack was $160, the remodel so I had a place to put it was $20k.

Get in touch with a Tupperware demonstrator and have a look at their Chef series cook ware. Its not cheap but it is great quality and looks stunning and remember Tupperware has a lifetime guarantee. Don't even look at Bessemer it is not the quality it once was and now only has a 5 year guarantee.

You spent $20,000 on a pot rack?! you dont' need us telling you what to buy! Buy whatever you think will look good up there! I'm guessing you aren't going to use them anyway!

Copper.
Wulfgang Puck puts out a nice product. Make sure the skillets are sturdy and that you can put them into the oven as well. If you don't have the time for maintenance then forgo the copper as they will look terrible if you don't keep them polished.

If you can afford the 20k pot rack then you can certainly afford the best. I like All-Clad.
