i need to apply for a passport but dont want to break the law or get arrested for falsifying documents

If you have nothing to hide then just tell all, you can apply on line it is quite easy, just search for the UK passport office on google or yahoo

you need to go to the website http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html and look up your state requirements and it will tell you. but basically you need to have your birth certificate, a marriage liscense state ID or driver's liscense and anything that basically can prove who you are. also it's a good idea to bring your social security card. hope this helps

You would apply with your current name- but if memory serves, there is a space in there to list aliases (also known as). I bet that's where you will use your birth name. Good luck.
