I've been told that 'Kilfeather' is anglicised for something simmilar sounding in Gaelic and 'Marren' is actually a native English name planted in Sligo with the Elizabethans. I could be wrong. Does anyone have any additional info on this?

Hey Rita,

There are 101 entries for Kilfeather in LDS Family Search, and 281 entries for Marren. You should check out the GENFORUM for these surnames also. Check Ellis Island to see if you have ancestors that came over on through that entry point.
