i hate rap, so that's not going to work. Is there nothing else i can do besides turning down the bass???

you can go to the caraudio store and they will have dyomat and a spray foam the foam is cheaper than the other stuff and works good.

either turn the volume down, turn the base down or change the direction of the speakers....better still shut off the xxxx hip hop and turn on some classic stones or who...then no one will care how loud it is.
