Aside from abstinance, of course. Due to my shape, I find condoms extroardinarily uncomfortable, even painful. Can anyone recommend any reliable alternatives to prevent STD's and pregnancy? When is the "male pill" due out??

The only 2 things that protect from STDs are condoms and Abstinence. To not get pregnant, there are foams, films, the morning after pill, etc. Just keep in mind, these do NOT protect from STDs.

Well, the pill protects against pregnancy only, not STD's. Your other option, which is not 100% safe, is to be in a committed monogomous relationship with someone, and both get tested for STD's by a doctor, and once you get a good bill of health- then you can start sleeping together. If either of you cheats, or does IV drugs, even once- you risk getting STD's and potentially life threatening diseases like HIV.

You can also get a vasectomy, which only protects against pregnancy, not STD's.

Even this male pill (so you call it) will not stop stds and a particular risk would of course be AIDS. I am sure that at a condom store that deals strickly with condoms, there has got to be something that is right for you. For Your Sake

A woman can use a diaphragm to prevent pregnancy, but it will not prevent against STDs. A condom, male or female, is the only way to prevent against STDs.

Condoms or abstinence are the only way to avoid STDS.

There is a vaginal condom. Ask a Pharmacist about it's availibility. It's bigger than the one for guys. That's all I can think of except to say NO and you said you didn't want to do without.

the male pill won't prevent STD's, there is nothing else that will prevent STD's at 90% , just the condom.
