I know that the location of the garden of eden is not proven to be in Iraq. I know that they are probably dark skinned because the dust of the earth was definitely not white. And I am a christian... I just want some other opinions.

They are any race you imagine them to be. How so? Well, Adam and Eve is a story. The Garden of Eden is a story. When telling a story you can imagine the characters to be any thing you want them to be. Mold it to your own artistic rendering.
Just like Santa. In every culture, he is depicted as the race of that particular culture.

The Human Race

The Garden was most likely located somewhere in the modern Middle East. That means that they were Arab, just like modern Middle Easterners.

None of the Old Testament Characters are white (some of the Roman New Testament characters might have been). Not one. Many Israelites were Arab, some black. It doesn't have much to do with the dust of the Earth, as much as it has to do with the fact that the people were just that race.

No, they didn't have belly buttons. Yes, Jesus probably had a big nose.

Probably a medium colored skin. I say this because they probably had a mixture of the dominant and recessive genes that determine skin color.

Someone that has all dominant genes are very dark (black). Someone that has all recessive genes are very light (white).

If both Adam and Eve had some dominant and some recessive, most of their children would have been a medium color, but some would have gotten a dominant set of genes from their father and a dominant set of genes from their mother, making them very dark skinned. Likewise some children would have gotten recessive genes from both parents, making them light skinned.

If then some of the people who looked alike began to congrigate together and migrate to another region, they would have developed into a race of like-colored people. For example, if a very dark skin person had children with another very dark skin person, they could only produce dark skinned children since both parents would have only the dominant genes that determine skin color.

This would explain how we have so many races of people when all satrted from Adam and Eve.

The name of Adam comes from the word for "red earth". Eve is comes from the race of "rib".

Since that question comes from a Myth (no one was there to write it down) and not from a scientific book, we will have to "guess". So I will answer from the perspective of what Adam and Eve were not. I will most likely be closer to the truth that most.

We can guess that Adam and Eve were probably from a "hairy race".

We can guess that they were not "Christians" nor "Jews" nor "Muslims". So they can't fight over that one. They probably were not "Chinese", or Eskimo.

I come from a European background and no one knows them so I would guess that they are not European either nor Russian. So they were either African or North American or South American. They could have been Australian.

I think that if you asked me about the seven dwarfs in Snow white I would have had an easier time....

Hope this helps you out....lol

Adam and Eve were of no specific race, since they were the first people.
