Certain types of angels are described as winged. They are not physical realm creatures, so we know very little about them. Their appearance was in some way frightening, notice "Don't be afraid" almost always stated.

Matthew 1:20 But as Joseph was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. The angel said, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary home as your wife. The baby inside her is from the Holy Spirit.
Luke 1:13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah. Your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will have a child. It will be a boy, and you must name him John.
Luke 1:30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary. God is very pleased with you.

There is NO SCRIPTURAL BASIS for the assertion that angels were ever human or that humans become angels. Scripture teaches very little about them, but one thing is that they are different from humans. Matt 22:30 "When the dead rise, they won’t get married. And their parents won’t give them to be married. They will be like the angels in heaven."

Angel, derived from aggelos in the Greek New Testament, is defined as "angel, messenger; this can refer to a human messenger, such as John the Baptist, or messengers sent by John the Baptist or Jesus, or to the supernatural class of being that serves God: the angel"... The word is used several times in the New Testament in reference to humans, but there is a difference between humans and the spirit realm messengers of God

The bible doesnt say if he had wings or not.
Luke 1 :26 In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
(Angels are messengers from heaven- generally depicted as winged human figures. )

Are all angels winged and does it matter? I know the "beings" are winged, the ones Ezekiel saw and the ones in Revelation 4. But when Daniel had Gabriel visit him, wings weren't mentioned I don't think.

Mary was visited by more than an Angel.

Angels do not have wings. Angels are humans who either have lived or will live as humans on earth. They are simply messengers from God.
