i wouldn't worry about it. before long you won't be able to get out your front door let alone walk to the store. your internal organs are already beginning to break down.
Sugar suppresses the immune system by causing the pancreas to secrete abnormally large quantities of insulin, which is required to break it down. you're risking onset diabetes.
Insulin remains in circulation in the bloodstream long after sugar has been metabolized, and one of its main side effects is to suppress the release of growth hormone in the pituitary gland.
Growth hormone is a primary regulator of the immune system, so anyone who eats a lot of sugar every day is going to experience critical growth hormone deficiency and consequent immune deficiency caused by the constant presence of insulin in the bloodstream.
Furthermore, refined white sugar is treated as a toxic foreign agent by the immune system, owing to its unnatural chemical structure as well as the industrial contaminants it retains from the refining process. Sugar thus triggers an unnecessary immune response while simultaneously suppressing immune function, thereby debilitating the immune system with a double edged sword.
Sugar also depletes the body of potassium and magnesium, which are required for proper cardiac function, and is therefore a major factor in heart disease.
If this information doesn't slow you down you are beyond hope, If you or your children have a sweet tooth, you can easily satisfy it by concocting treats with honey, molasses, and barley malt, which are not only sweet but also nutritious and therapeutically beneficial.

I have similar problem. There is really only 1 thing I can tell you to turn this around.
Picture yourself in the future if you continue as you do now. You would have eaten many tasty things, enjoyed the chocolates and eclairs, etc. At the same time however, most likely you can also imagine having weight problems, followed by difficulties or awkwardness in lovelife (if any). Then imagine having health problems. Also imagine yourself old and not being able to move and do things for yourself. Perhaps you may need someone to help you go to the toilet even.
On the other hand, imagine giving up the "tasty food". This would result in some frustration that you are eating "some crap" and thoughts about "enjoying life" through enjoyment of all the tasty foods. At the same time however, your body would look great, you will love watching yourself in the mirror. Lovelife would be a piece of cake. Health - no issues, full of energy. Ready for travel and adventures or anything else. When old, can still take care of yourself, go buy your own food, etc. And live many more years than in the first case.
Imagine these two paths. Decide which is the one you want to take. Its your life.
Myself, I have made the decision and am fighting to change my current path. Its not easy, but I will make it. I have to.

Once you take that first bite of sweets, it can cause a physical craving in your body that you cannot stop (if you are addicted to sweets like a person is addicted to drugs or alcohol). If you can start out with a high protein breakfast and limit your carbs to 15 per meal and 8 per snack, with 3 of each per day, you should be able to keep the sweet cravings under control. Just don't take that first compulsive bite of something sweet!

Join the club. I usually eat a lot of protein in addition to the sweets, so I am keeping the weight off, but I am having a hard time losing the inches. Guess I will have to cut the sweets again.

Girl today is Halloween! You can splurge a little. Splurge for the next week because Halloween Candy is half off tomorrow! Then after that I'd say just limit yourself one candy per day or only for lunch. It also wouldn't hurt to exercise a bit.

Are you gaining weight??? If you are this could be a good reason to stop. I know no one wants to put on the pounds. Also what you could do is eat less fatter versions of your favorite snacks. You can go to whole foods and look for ingredients that you can use to make healthy snacks. Or u can chew gum it really helps distract cravings. Eating fruits is also another good idea.

Look at the ingredients of your sweets. Likely they contain High Fructose Corn Syrup. This keeps you starving for more sweets. Cut that ingredient out, and your intense cravings will subside. I learned this the hard way (smile).

Just try to have some self control. Pray about it (gluttony IS a sin). And think about what you may start to look like when you turn 53.
