buttercup--yes, I agree with it. And it is thought provoking. I had to think about it a minute. Does that mean I border on being insane?

What, it's impossible to disobey God's will? That's bullshit, of course it's possible; I'm doing it right now. OBEYING God is probably meaningful only to the brainwashed.

I guess you could only disobey God's will if you believed in God. Only the insane believe in Or talk to imaginary beings. So I have to agree with your statement and with its corollary, Believers in God are insane!

If you happen to believe in fate, as well as "God", it would make sense.

Fate takes away all meaning from life and from a religious perspective presents a world of robots going through pre-programmed motions to amuse a deity.

Fate is an illusion, and a rather insane one, imo.

It depends on how one views God. If every action that occurs on the earth is God's will, even though humanity has free will, then it is impossible to act without God's will.

Of course I don't agree. In truth it is exactly the opposite. Disobeying God's will is easy. You do it all the time.Every day you place your own intellect above God's,not knowing who He is, or whether you will take your next breath.

That is a wonderful theological statement. Of course to some it will have no meaning whatsoever. It reminds me of the Vedanta posit that God, being bored all alone, decides to create everything in a game of hide and seek with himself. Nicely done.

I am not sure what the author of this statement had in mind. I could take it different ways. But I don't think I agree with it.

Nothing is meaningful. There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.

No I do not. We can disobey God and still be sane... we'd be wrong but sane. God says not to lie, if we do is it not wrong? Are we insane for doing it? no, just wrong.
