Please help!!! i dont have a DVR i just want to record a program on TAPE (video tape) how can i plug in my vhs player into my TV and (while still running DIRECT TV) and record the show! 10 points to anyone who helps please!

You want to record a program off your DirecTV, as opposed to off the air?

Get a set of RCA cables w/ red, white and yellow plugs. One end will go to the output of your DirecTV receiver, the other to the input of your VCR. Yellow goes to video, red to audio right, white to audio left. The VCR channel selector should be set to Video 1 or something similar.

there should be a plug in the back of your tv/directv system thats for a vcr cord. your directv manual will have section about it.
