Ew. I think I'd find a way to make sure that happened real soon, even if it means giving them one yourself after you knock them out.
I think I'd move.

Tell them to take a shower or sleep outside , that you can't stand the stench. Say this all with a big warming smile on your face in the most loving and caring way...a little pat on the shoulder would help too:)

I would tell that person in a nice way to take a shower bacause there are ppl way meaner out of where you guys live that will tell him/her in a bad way that they smell, youre just being a good friend and keeping him/her from getting hurt or embarrased.

Tell me about it, my husband's best friend has the WORST hygiene habits I've ever seen in a human being. He doesn't like to shower, why?, I don't know, he just doesn't and he smokes!!!, so you can imagine. Thank God the guy moved to other state and now they hardly see each other but man!, he stank like rotten eggs.
My husband says they were roomates in college and it was horrible, he had to move out to keep their friendship.

Well do what i did. I ran a tub of water and added a little bleach and bubble bath and handed him a towel and wash cloth, and said here you go my King. Hint taken.
Or try this one which worked on a friend of my brother. He tried to sneak up behind me and I said hi before he had a chance to touch my shoulder to scare me. He asked me how did I know he was behind me, I said I smelled him coming behind me.

First, I would get some air fresheners. Second, I would buy them a pass to the pool. Third, I would fart everytime that they came into the room, and when they asked you to stop, I would say that when they cleaned up their smell, you would clean yours up too.
