I wanted to give my first a unique name seeing as mine is so common as is my husbands. (We also wanted something biblical.) I was looking at a map and found that there is a city in Italy named Corinthia and that is now my daughters name. I have a friend that has two girls named Chyna and Irelynn as well. When I was pregnant with my second one of the first places I looked for names was on maps of foreign countries. Good Luck. Hopefully she finds something that she loves.

My name is Jessica.. It is so common and i know what you mean by wanting an unique name cause there were so many jessica's in my classroom and it was so confusing cause none of us knew which jessica the teacher was talking too.
I guess when my mom had me (in 1979) it was unique or uncommon.
I named my son Julian. No one else claims his name were we live. I love his name!

My name is absolutely not unique: Sarah.
The most unique name I've come across was a friend of mine, who's background was Indian. Her name is Dipti...I wouldn't suggest it...lol.
I was just talking with a friend of mine who had a baby boy a few days ago, and we also talked about her 2-year-old daughter, who's name is Tyla. We discussed how it is very unique, but cute too.

Ok, my husband's great-grandmother's name is Maedrew and my great-grandmother's name was Zena. I have an aunt named Tommye Jean...always loved her name. I wanted different names when I had my first son. His name is Kolt Weston. He is kinda named after my husband's cousin. His middle name is Cole and I love that, but I wanted him to be different so I added a t and spelled it with a K. His middle name I got out of a phone book. Sometimes last names make up the coolest first names.

My name is Allaina, it's somewhat common but my mother spelled it very different. Just keep in mind when choosing a unique name to pick one that people can't spell wrong.
