No, God wants a government that will implement justice and righteousness among the people. The proof of this is seen in how the most vulnerable members of society are treated. God also wants a government that recognizes His supremacy. Currently, it really takes a mix of Dems and Republicans to accomplish this. Unfortunately, we are not able to see how much we need each other.
Killing for God . . . this seems rather simplistic and really doesn't help matters.

You are extremely offenive and hatefully ignorant. God sets the leaders in place for His purposes. I sincerely hope the GOP will retain control, the alternative is frightening. But He is on the throne and in control, all the rest of us will pray for His will to be done.

Often times when God sees his creation (humanity) giving in to Satan, he allows it to happen because he decides that he can use the lesson that will be learn from it later. If the Libs manage to gain control of the House, Senate, or both (GOD FORBID) I'm sure this is God's way of saying "okay, Timmy, go ahead and stick that metal fork in that socket." Sadly, unlike Timmy, our society does learn permanently from one shock and every so often we go ahead and see if it still hurts. A wise man once said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

Well, the GOP supports corporate corruption, taxes the lower and middle classes higher than the upper class, cuts funding for homeless shelters and public assistance, bombs other countries, and generally is pretty mean-spirited. Doesn't sounds very Christian to me.
The GOP may dress like Christians, but the similarity ends there.

Well, Republicans favor personal responsibility. Democrats believe that the government should run everything and people who refuse to try and take care of themselves should be supported by government out of money taken from those who try to take care of themselves and their families.
The Democrats punish people who try to get off "public assistance."
Republicans support those in military service. Democrats ridicule them.
...All in all, it doesn't sound like much of a choice.

Thing is, God doesn't care one way or the other. The early Christians did not get involved in politics.

You know dude, I'm really glad you asked that question cuz I heard right now, the big man is up there doing some major nail biting cuz his candidates maybe won't make it.
It's gotta be hard on him both sides praying, "O Lord, help my side win. who does he say yes too? the one praying the hardest?
or what.
I think God wants holiness. I think he also, a lot of times lets us get what we deserve. if we live like pigs, maybe we deserve bad leaders.
but that's enough of my blathering.
what do you say mr. politically uncertian dude.
peace out.

Be careful where you tread. The godless Democrat heathens will be wanting you to strike the word "GOD" from your question and substitute the phrase "higher power" in it's place.
