Think about it. We were asleep in our mothers womb before we came alive. And scientist still haven't figure out why we require sleep? Because our body could've easily been created to do all things that sleep does by staying awake. But for some reason sleep is required?

Many people have already "thought about it" - sleep is the body's way of allowing the brain to organize and store all the stimuli it has accumulated over the past day.
In many studies of sleep, and through examination of those who suffer from sleep disorders (narcolepsy, etc) - sleep is a required element of life, but within such sleep dreaming must occur.

There's been no such link made to anything metaphysical or spiritual in sleep. Death and sleep are vastly different - our bodies are active in very distinct ways during sleep. Death eliminates consciousness and all functioning of the body. It's like comparing rough seas (waking life) and calm seas (sleep) to a barren desert (death) - there's a world of difference.

No. Sleeping is necessary to recharge our physical and mental batteries. I don't think that communication with the Great Beyond has anything to do with it. Try going without sleep for an extended period of time -- studies indicate that extended sleep deprivation will cause delusions and insanity. Maybe that's when you'd see clear over to the Other Side.

Psychics say that we go to school during sleep. And in the
book of Job, there is a reference that our Creator "instructs"
us while we sleep.

I would hope that it is God & His that watches over you as you sleep and not death.
