I've been bathing her in flea shampoo every 2 days. I sprayed the house. She gets flea powder once a week. And my floors have been vacuumed with flea powder and still nothing.

Advantage. Frontline in the deep south doesnt seem to last as long and usually causes dry skin and itching also if applying to animal put it on your hand instead of from the tube to avoid scabing the dog then wash your hands and only apply to the back of dog where they cannot lick.

I would recommend that you call your vets office and ask to purchase either Frontline Plus (Plus-kills flea eggs) or Advantix. (let them know what other chemicals/flea products that you have used on your dog and when you used them, as you need to treat him safely), this is the best way to treat a flea problem on your dog. Flea shampoos only kill the live fleas that are on your dog when you bathe him, if there are fleas in his environment they just jump right back on him. The other thing that I would recommend to treat your house is that you wash all of your throw rugs (if you have those), vacuum all of your basebord heat (if you have it), wash all of your dogs bedding and be sure to throw away the vacuum bag as soon as you are finished, don't leave it in the vacuum. One last thing, discuss with your vet which product he/she would recommend to use on your specific dog. Good Luck.

Go to your vet and get a CapStar tablet. Give it to the dog, the fleas will fall off within minutes. Then start her on a good flea/tick preventative such as Frontline, Advantage, K9 Advantix, or Revolution.

Advantage is really good, take a spray u'r carpets and etc with rubbing alchol, take a night lite, put a pan of soapy water under it, the fleas jump to the warmth of the lite and fall into the water and drown. I've done it and it works. Sometimes I will spray my dog, but she doesn't like it, it is cold, kills fleas instantly.

I'm in dog rescue. We pull dogs from shelter with fles. I was told by a vet tech to give them a bath in Dawn Dish detergent. And, follow up with Capstar (if needed) and continue with monthly flea proventatives - Frontline, Advantage, etc.

The gel applicators that you use on the back of their neck & tail! As far as the carpet. its getting cold leave your windows open to freeze them out & them buy the flea bomb out of HomeDepot. this will make sure they don't jump back on the pooch after the baths & application from the ointment. Oh, I always keep $1store baby oil on my dogs- it suffercates them. any type of oil! Good luck- just so you know I have 4 dogs

I give my dogs Revolution - it gets rid of fleas and protects from heartworm, ear mites..etc...etc....

But you do have to do a Thorow cleaning of the house or whereever it lives because live fleas are only 2-5 % of your problem.

i got a dog from the cat and dog home and stopped by the vets before i took her home as she was riddled with fleas and a couple of tics too, the vet put a drop of ointment on the back of her neck and gave me the remainder the bottle.
i used it for 4 days and ive never seen one on her again!
is she in regular contact with another dog or cat thats reinfecting her? are you sure its even flees at all?
i find it od they have not gone yet

Topical treatments offered by your vet will work best. Avoid the ones you can buy over the counter, they have a bad history.

advantix is the best....you need to kill them out of your house but the advantix will keep them off the dog only....dawn dish soap kills them...only that brand though.have an exterinator come and they will give you a guarentee to get rid of them or they will have to come back...just make sure you keep them off the dog also.
