the tailgate of my 99 Jeep Cherokee Laredo doesn't lock with the electric door lock. Where is the manual lock?

Unfortunatly, there is no manual lock. You must use the key in the lock cylinder located by the outside handle to lock the gate.

Likely the problem with the lock is the lock actuator, which runs about $85.00. Should cost around $50.00 to get installed.

the manual lock on my 98 is next to the gate handle, not the window release. hope this helps
