My mom grew up in La Puente, she said the only good trick or treating was hitching a train ride (highly dangerous and illegal) up further north of sunset. She said you could get whole candy bars north of sunset. But those are just the crazy ramblings of a mom who grew up in the 70's. Have fun trick or treating in east L.A.
