This happens to me too. I use Nair Bikini Cream, and it works just fine. I do still get bumps sometimes/here and there though. I think the bumps are just the beginnings of ingrown hairs combined with sensitive skin. Don't use the bikini cream every or even every other day or it will still irritate your skin. After you use it, you can use a product like Bikini Zone (see link below) to help keep those bumps away. Good luck!

People with sensitive skin should let the hair grow naturally. If you have skin like a rhinocsorus, then shaving is okay (but kind of 1990s!); however anyone with skin that gets irritated easily should not shave, wax, or use harsh chemicals. Keep your bush - it's much more up-to-date, and you'll avoid having to explain to a doctor how you got that nasty skin infection.

First use a new clean blade on your razor. When shaving do not apply pressure so many girls don't realize that if you apply pressure it cuts the hair to just under the skin causing irritation. Try a sensitive skin shaving cream, use a mans cream cause its all the same just smells different. Good Luck.

I have been shaving my face since the '60s, and my entire head since July. Always shave wet. Use a good lubricating media, and do NOT use a "Triple Close Super Expensive Rip-em-out" razor. One blade is enough, and will not cause ingrown hairs. Also, have you tried electric razors? They do OK, and don't cut TOO close, either.
Of course, if it's not your head that you're shaving, all bets are off! ;-}

Where are you shaving at? If your shaving at your bikini area buy a product called Bikini Zone.
I use the men's Mach 3 and it works better than any woman's razor.
Maybe you should change your blade more often.

Ya I have the same problem, I was told by my doctor that I just have realy sensetive skin. I have to use the nair gel now because I had it realy bad. It works ok, not as good as a razor but way better than getting that painful ichy bumps.
