Yes , we were put here to come to know and love God and to be happy with him in Heaven ever after. This is why we were created. Some people do not chose this so God knows all things and these people who have turned their heart to stone against him he uses for fertilizer to strengthen the ones that are healthy. Shakespeare said it best when he said "The best strawberry grows beneath the nettle"

We are all here to be tested.
Can we be trusted with true riches?
Selfish or selfless?
Dependent or Independent?
The message God delivered through angels has always proved true, and the people were punished for every violation of the law and every act of disobedience.
What makes us think that we can escape if we are indifferent to this great salvation that was announced by the Lord Jesus himself? It was passed on to us by those who heard him speak, and God verified the message by signs and wonders and various miracles and by giving gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose to do so.

Of course, the very idea that we are here by accident is as absurd as a printing shop exploding and producing the Bible by chance.

Put here ? That is a question you must answer for yourself.
I do believe we are here to live in harmony and peace with one another and to daily walk our lives in inner peace and happiness even in the midst of the turmoil within the world.

Yes, I do. I think we are all here to either learn a lesson, to help someone, or to teach something. I would prefer to think we have a goal in this life, not that we are just simply existing.

Yes we were made to worship the Lord, and Glorfiy HIM! God made us FOR HIM. And he has a purpose for ALL of us.
Proverbs 16:4
4 The LORD works out everything for his own ends—
even the wicked for a day of disaster.
Nehemiah 9:6
You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
Psalm 86:9
All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, O Lord; they will bring glory to your name.

I used to believe that, but now I think there is no plan or overall "reason" behind our being who we are and being born into a certain status. Life does not come with guarantees or preset meanings. Each person has the power to invest his or her life with whatever meaning he/she thinks is worthy of the precious time we're given.

Each of us is here as a sentient being to perceive and experience the universe. Each of us is part of God, who embodies time and space, and is perfectly self-aware. Our lives and experiences within time make up that self awareness. Thus, all possible experiences are shared in the unity of space and time that is the divine.
