"Apostasy" means "a falling away or seperation". It refers to the apostate churches of today who have fallen away from the truth of the Word of God in order to appease their congregation and "justify" their actions through not reconciling the actions of the body to the spirit.

Do you mean apostasy? It means a falling away. As in those who do not follow God, but used to have apostatized from the church.
