I have a Sony Cyber-shot 4.1 Mega Pixel digital camera. I was using it the other day, and the flash just randomly stopped working. The camera still takes pictures, but if it's night or in a darkish area, the pitures turn out badly. Can anyone possibly help me out with this? I have checked the setting and everything, and even when i set my camera to flash under all conditions it still doesnt work.

I have changed the battery... still not working... I have not changed any menue functions, and put on a function that tells my camera to flash no matter what the lighting of the background is. I mean it seriously went from flashing on picture, not pressing any buttons truning around to another friend to take another picture, not even turning the camera off, and the flash stopped working...

Dead/drained battery?

If the battery is low, it may still take pictures, but won't allow all of the functions - including flash-work properly.

Also, it is possible if you were in the menus section that you turned the flash function off. You may want to check this as well.

low battery? is the flash bulb burnt out?
is the light sensor broken so it thinks all shots are adequately lit?
