You need flour, eggs and milk.
To serve approximately 4 pancakes you will need 200 grams of flour, 4 eggs and a pint of milk.
Stir it all together in a big mixing bowl, until the mixture becomes a thick liquid with no obvious lumps of flour in it.
Heat a frying pan with a small amount of butter or oil in then take a cupful of the mixture and pour it evenly into the pan, coating the whole cooking surface of the pan as evenly as possible.
Don't let the pancake stick to the pan, keep it lifted and check it as it cooks, when one side is golden brown toss the pancake and flip over onto the other side. Cook this side until golden brown then serve.
The traditional British Shrove Tuesday pancake is served with lemon juice and sugar, but you can use all sorts of toppings, like fruit, maple syrup, honey, chocolate sauce, even ice cream.

Shame - they all told you how to make the batter for the pancakes, but then they forgot to tell you how to actually make the pancake itself!!! You heat the pan up gently for 2-3 minutes, pour the batter in till you've filled the base of the pan, wait for it to cook, then turn it over (or flip it over, which is all the better if you can get it stuck on the ceiling!), wait for that to cook, then put it on a plate & fill it with whatever you like!!!

I use flour,an egg, milk, a little sugar and a little corn oil to make the batter. Depending how much you want. Put corn oil or canola oil in a skillet-let it get a little hot then pour a little of the batter to make small size cakes. Let cook a while, flip over to cook on the other side. We always called them flitters. They are soooo good!!!

You should ask Fanny Craddock this one. As her husband said once to the audience at home "And if you are really lucky all your donuts will taste like Fanny's".
