Why is satan called the prince of the spirit of the air?

That was asked a minute ago and then taken away and I thought it was a good question. I feel that the TV is a good example of Satan being able to bring in his wickedness into our homes.
We invite mob bosses and serial killers and all kinds of violence into our homes. A community has a certain spirit. Like in the olden days they helped one another. Today they are afraid to.
The bible says: The love of the greater number would cool off.
What do you think it means that is just my idea?

Paul uses the literal air, or atmosphere, to illustrate the general spirit, or dominant attitude of selfishness and disobedience, reflected by people alienated from God. It is the same as “the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience” and “the spirit of the world.” (Ephesians 2:2; 1 Corinthians 2:12) Just as the literal air is everywhere, ready to be breathed in, so “the spirit of the world” is always present. From infancy to the grave, it permeates, influences, and shapes the way people think and act as they seek to fulfill their desires, hopes, and ambitions.

This spirit of sinfulness and rebellion predominates in imperfect human society. As this “air” is breathed in, its lethal potency is intensified by peer pressure and an ever-increasing appetite for sensual pleasure. Thus, it has pronounced “authority” over people. (Compare Romans 6:12-14.) The Devil, of course, is the originator of all that is wicked. (John 8:44) So he influences humans to imitate his own rebellious course and thereby inspires, shapes, and controls this community spirit, or “air.” As the “ruler” over this sinister power, or “authority,” Satan uses it to control the thinking of people. Its elements are formulated to keep people so occupied with satisfying fleshly desires and pursuing worldly interests that they have no time or inclination to get to know God and submit to his holy spirit, “the spirit that is life-giving.” (John 6:63) Spiritually speaking, they are dead.

So yes, a lot of what comes through the tv influences people in this way, and people are going from bad to worse.

Satan, and 2/3 of the Angles of Heaven were cast down to the Earth. They operate with in the Atmospheric Heaven. This is why he is said to be the Prince of the spirits of the Air.

There are spiritual Principalities all over the World, each governed by a different Demonic spirit. You can map what spirit controls where be what evil is most prominent in that aria.

Those spiritual forces are getting worse, and worse, and because of spiritual persecution, the love of many has indeed grown cold. But as Christians we have the power to do Spiritual Warfare through Intercessory Prayer, and pull down the Strong Holds.

Satan has MANY tools- Tv being one of them- also computers! Internet! Even magazines! Billboards- Many things can cause men to lust- can cause women to idolize....Satan is crafty:

And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

-This too meaning that Satan is in many relegions- making people feel its "right" when its completely wrong...it sounds good- but it does not hold the truth. He leads many astray....and some dont even know it.

There are actually 5 elements. Water, Earth, Fire, Air, and
Spirit. I imagine Air is the closest to Spirit, which would show
evil has spiritual power.
Do we ever consider however, that Christ, at the Rapture, will gather us all together, and we will meet Him in the AIR?

Evil, from a human/spiritual standpoint is not a GIVEN. It's a

It is the rebellious spirit that rules in people when they first purposely rebel against God. They don't recognize it because person has died spiritually (like the 1st Adam) and are spiritually blind once they purposely rebel against God.

Yes TV is an avenue the prince of rebellion rules & manipulates people in. Also, music that is destructive in some way.

When people are dead spiritually their love level toward others is lower because of the disconnection with the God of love. I am not sure what verse you are coming from though.

is not t.v is our families theres so many broken families and so many issues that we focus on the wrong things. while kids are feeding of the t.v violence and the streets. these kids are doing what they can to fit in to survive in this world while parents are alcoholics or working all the time n nobody is there to guide them. so kids are just guiding eachother and thats like a blind person guiding another person. is not even about the bibble or religion is about been human and caring what the hell is going om around. we fighting about the bibble but nobody is fighting how many kids are starving. we fight what color and if god is real. while babies are dump in the trash. we need to get shhhhhit strait and worry of what here

Before bad mouthing a being in which you don't know or understand, you should look at your religious past. Christians have murdered thousands of people for GOD. Secondly Satan is a title given to the Angel Lucifer. The closest star to God. Lucifer was the light bearer. As for the killers most killers are religious. You live in a country where "IN GOD WE TRUST" is on every ******* dollar of blood money. Remember the Indians, Witches, and simple people who were murdered. Even God had his hands in the pot when he decided to flood the world. Ohhh but you forgot that. If people are so evil then you can start killing them too for your God. Manson was a christian.

Satan has established his kingdom in the heavens, below where God dwells. And I agree there is much on TV with little or no redeeming value.
