He said he cares but is not ready to be in a relationship but treats me like his girl friend. He tells me we don't have to be called boyfriend and girlfriend just to be in a relationship. He said those titles are for kids. We are just dating each other what do you think he means...

I think he means that he doesn't want an exclusive relationship and that he wants to be free to date other people. And if that's okay with you, it's all good. But if you want to just date each other...this isn't what's going to happen. Keep in mind that he may treat other women the same way he's treating you....and he may be having sex with those women too. It may be time to talk about this matter further with your guy. good luck

haha... I agree with him. When you are older, YOU dont call eachother boyfriend and girlfriend...thats HIGH SCHOOL... You say you are dating- and there are 2 types of dating, You could be exclusively dating (only dating eachother) or just dating where you could be dating others as well. Dont move to fast sweets... You might scare him off, he sounds like a keeper!

He is sending mixed signals and that is for kids. He wants all of the benefits of having the girlfriend but not the title because he basically wants to keep the option open to be with someone else too and tell himself (and you) that he is not cheating because you are not his girl. Tell him to man up!

He wants an out. He likes the time together, the sex if any and your attention. But when he is ready to go he wants to be able to say......"Hey, were not boyfriend and girlfriend or anything, so I'm outta here"

he probably means exactly what he says. he wants to keep dating you and he really cares but for some reason (maybe burned before) he is not ready to be in something he has to call a relationship.

well if he's not ready to be in a relationship don't fall head first uz you don't know when he might decide to get up in leave and after all he wouldn't need to give you an answer cuz u guys are'nt in a relationship. so be careful and good luck,,

One word: next. Really, he's only keeping you around until he finds somebody he does want to be in a relationship with anyway, and you are wasting your time if you want (and you should) more than that.

I'm like him. I hate the boy/girl worlds. Dating give me a break - just be really for each other - not just the death worlds out of date.
