I'd ask the pastor to be there around 1:30 and for the church to be opened by 10am. This is what I did for my 2pm wedding last July 8. I had already decorated that Thursday (since there are no services between then and the Saturday wedding) I only needed a few hours to set up the cake and set out the food. This was enough time for me. If you're planning to decorate that morning ( I sugguesting decorating before the day of) then maybe as early as 8am.

Congrats on your upcoming day! It depends on how organized you, your groom and wedding party is? Are you having a rehearsal the night before? If not you want your wedding party to be familiar with the church. Also time for the guys to get their boutonnieres pinned on and primping for the bridesmaid. Are you having pictures taken? A lot of people will take separate family and wedding party pics prior to the wedding. Consider these things first.....then you will know when you should have the church opened. As far as guests arriving you can expect guest as early as an hour before teh ceremony..especially if you have out of town guests.Hope this helps!

P.S. We opened the doors @ 12:30 for a 5pm ceremony. We had made time for the florist/decorators /photographer & musicians to set up etc.

A lot of times there will be a noon wedding before your 2pm...the church is opened for you guests 30 minutes before the ceremony time and it will start on time...there will probably be a 4pm wedding scheduled as well. Check with your pastor on that one...the church might have its own rules that you'll need to follow.

That depends on what needs to be done and if you and your attendants are getting ready there or not.

Generally, churches are open regular business hours. I'm sure it will be open about 8 or 9 am. Just ask to be sure. The pastor will probably arrive 1-2 hours before the ceremony unless he has duties, meetings, or appts. before the wedding.

Churches are usually opened early in case people want to come in, say a prayer, light a candle, drop off something, at least my church usually is. I got married at 3:00 in the afternoon and I was allowed access by 8 a.m that day so my friends could go and decorate while I and my bridal party was at the hairdresser getting hair and makeup done.

I would say noon for the church to be opened - it's easier to change there and take pics with bridesmaids, etc. before hand. I'd say 1:30 for the minister.

1pm would be fine for the pastor as well as the guests to arrive to the church because it gives everyone an hour to get to the ceremony.
