How embarrasing is it though eh?! I walked all round my local tesco with my 2 yr old in the trolley last week then realised she had her finger shoved up her nostril the whole time! If you concentrate on your 6 yr old hopefully the 3 yr old will follow in their footsteps & stop doing it! My parents used to tell me my brain would fall out, I don't think it stopped me though! :)

Sounds to me as if the air is too dry, try using a humidifer or vaporizor in their rooms. This will keep the insides of the nose from drying out and will be less irritated, so less nose picking. Plus you might want to stop picking your nose as well...(most adults DO pick there noses at some point during the day)

Kids mock what they see. So if your 3 year old saw your 6 year old picking his/her nose then they are going to continue to do it. This is a hard question because most people (even adults) pick their nose and they learned it at a young age. My son watched this other little girl do it at the grocery store. At first it was just funny when he did it but now he actually pulls at bugers. It's gross! I haven't figured out how to get it to stop.

Its a normal function, watch the apes doing it, I keep trying but my claws scratch. Just tell em its rude in company, they will never stop, its natural.

Shes 3 and he or she found a hollow in her face so which you are able to her its a sturdy place to adhere a finger!! All of my babies have executed it. examine her nostril to be sure if she has bugars, if no longer, she in basic terms found someplace to place her palms. do no longer hardship approximately it, she would have the ability to advance out of it. in case you opt to scare her to make her quit, tell her she would have the ability to poke her eye or her concepts and once you tell her that be very severe and attempt to no longer giggle!!

It's just something that children do - ask them to stop whenever you see them at the same time telling them why (i.e. it's nasty or whatever you choose) BUT don't make a big thing of it. They will eventually grow out of it - well, most do! I have to admit that my ex never did - but hopefully he was in the minority.

Put Tabasco on their fingers...If you can stand the shrieking that will ensue for the next few hours that is......They will be hesitant to stick a finger up there again.

Put cotton wool up their noses and tell them to breathe out of their mouths. Might sound brutal but it works.
