Will the companies they work for be responsible? Will the immigrants be forced to go back to Mexico? Bush wants to catch illegal aliens and send them to Mexico? A law was passed thru Congress but they would not give money to hire more immigration authorities which falls under homeland securities, so what do we do?Any ideas or are we stuck with illegal mexicans in the U.S.A.????

Well it depends whether this government has the guts to stand up to the big businesses who would like to keep the wages low. I have a feeling that the hardline stance many candidates are taking are only for show, and that eventually they will come to a compromise- a guest worker program or similar after the elections.
PS. It's a bit unfair to just say illegal Mexicans. There are undocumenteds from lots of other countries.

They will either stay or leave and come right back with a temporary workers visa if the house passes comprehensive immigration reform, otherwise known as "amnesty". Which do you prefer? It's one or the the other because as long as there are jobs here and none in Mexico, you will have Mexicans here.
The only thing that will change that is Mexico creating an economy that rewards business investment and job creation. As long as Mexican leaders prefer to line their pockets by selling their country, nothing will change.
That is the reality. So what do you do?

Why does everyone stereotype illegals as Mexicans? There are Canadians, Britains, South Americans, Austrlians, Germans, French, Asians, and a whole heck of a lot of Middle Easterners here illegally as well. The only difference is the majority of the mexicans are here doig manual labor and supply us with goods and services and staying out of trouble.

Bush is not for sending them back to Mexico! He was the one who allowed them in here in the first place and fought vigorously against reuniting them to their homeland! It was cheap labor for his corporate cronies! Plain and simple!!!! They are here to stay unless the democrats run them out of here or the people take up the cause themselves!! They are a tremendous burden on all of us in that they pay no taxes, all wages are in cash under the table by unscrupulous dirtbag corporations, (their names should be publically announced and posted), they get 100% total free medical and hospitalization, medicaid, welfare, and any other hand outs they can get while here! you also have to understand this is not all about Mexicans but "immigration" in general! We have a tremendous amount of immigrants pouring into this country from every corner of the earth! It's corporate cheap labor and they haven't pulled the wool over anyone's eyes!! Corporate America should be held to the price tag for rectifying their corrupt policies!

Such idiots. Why does everyone think illegals do not pay taxes. Some may not but the ones I know do.They work hard everyday pay for any services they receive and pay taxes. My husband has taxes taken out of every paycheck. He works hard pays taxes and does not receive any taxes back.Well he is illegal so who cares right.Wrong I care and our children care what happens to their daddy. We do not receive food stamps or medical assistance or anything else from our government. He supports his family on his own. I don't know to many american men like that

the youngster will be an american citizen and allowed all the benefits, yet that doesn't recommend something for the mother. she will be able to nonetheless be deported if unlawful and stuck, even if she has a U.S. citizen toddler. in spite of the indisputable fact that, once the toddler is sufficiently old and if the mother has not fallen into un-lawful status he can petition for his mom to come back the following legally.
