I'm sure you know that kids can make themselves sick from crying but if you think that something else is causing her to get sick I would call the pediatrician and ask if they can see her. If you do this, at least you will know its not something serious.

I have a set bedtime routine I do with my 1 year old everynight regardless of how late it is. We have a bath and then brush our teeth and put our pajamas on. We read a story while he has a bottle of milk and then he goes to bed. Some nights he cries for a few minutes and we check on him every couple of minutes and other nights he goes right to sleep. The nights he cries it usually only lasts for around 5 minutes.

My son was this way. We took him to the doctor over several months. They said he was ok. We tried earlier feedings, lightly raising (about an inch or two) the head end of the crib, and additional burping sessions (thinking gas may be the culprit). We later found he had acid reflux disease, a cyst on his uvula AND this tonsils/adenoids were bad and needed removing. All this at the ripe old age of one. After that it was all good.

does she cry until she's sick? that's what my 2 year old does and has done since he was about a year. once he relized that if he cried enough he would start to gag and we would go running in to get him so he wasn't sick. unfortunately if this is the reason, it's probly more for attention cuz she knows that you'll have to be with her. but you should probly take her to the dr just to have her checked out.

Have you tried some soft music in the background to help her sleep? When my son cried too much, he would get sick. Good luck.

If she is getting really upset and crying a lot (as in being left to cry herself to sleep) then sometimes that can make them vomit.
