Your cat has worms...take her the vet and have her wormed.

Do not let the cat lick on you and be careful while holding the cat. Wash hands each time after playing with it b/c you also can get worms.

Good Luck

These are definitely tapeworms, and what you are seeing are the individual segments. NOT maggots. I have had a catwith the exact same thing you are describing. The over the counter de-wormers do NOT work. Your cat needs to get wormed by the vet.

Sounds like your cat needs to be wormed, almost all animals get worms and any household pet should be wormed about every month or so. But what you're describing sounds like maggots to me (baby flies, ick). I would check your cat for any open wounds that the flies may have laid their eggs in. It's easy to miss seeing an injury on cats because of their thick, fluffy hair. If you can't find any injuries, I would advise you to go and buy some wormer at wal-mart or your local petstore, if the wormer doesn't make them go away, then I would advise you to take your cat into the vet, it may be something more serious.

your cat has round worms. These are NOT good. you can try using over the counter dewormers for round worms, but it is a good idea to just head to the vet. The worms will reproduce and fill the intestines of the cat and will eventually kill it. If the worms are advanced she will need a vet, if they are not, a GOOD over the counter dewormer MAY work , but usually not.

go to the vet and get her wormed. The worms come from the cat eating the eggs of fleas, so your cat probably has fleas also.

These are tapeworms. The vet has meds to deworm. This tapeworm came from fleas that she has so you also need to get Advantage or Frontline while you are at the vet to treat the fleas or she will just get tapeworms again.
